Our Impact Commitments
At CapXcentric, we believe that true success is measured by the positive impact we create. Our business is built on a foundation of integrity, responsibility, and inclusivity—principles that guide every partnership we form and every initiative we support.

We believe in leading by example, demonstrating that businesses of any size can drive meaningful change. By reinvesting our profits into impactful causes, fostering ethical innovation, and reducing our environmental footprint, we aim to set a standard for transparency, accountability, and purpose-driven growth.

From supporting vulnerable communities to achieving carbon-neutral operations, our impact commitments reflect our dedication to building a more sustainable and equitable future.
This page outlines how we turn our values into action through transparent reporting, responsible partnerships, and initiatives that empower people and the planet.
1. Giving Back
At CapXcentric, we believe that success is most meaningful when it drives positive change. That’s why we commit to donating 25% of our annual profits to causes that address the impact of technology, reduce inequality, and support open-source innovation.

Our donations are dedicated to creating a more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable future by supporting:
-
Environmental initiatives: Funding carbon offset programs, reforestation projects, and clean energy solutions to help mitigate the tech industry’s environmental footprint.
-
Retraining and upskilling programs: Empowering individuals displaced by technological disruption with new skills and pathways to ethical, impact-driven careers.
-
Refugee support: Providing essential humanitarian assistance, education, and employment programs to help rebuild lives.
-
First Nations initiatives: Supporting programs that promote cultural preservation, self-determination, and economic empowerment for First Nations communities.
-
Poverty reduction: Helping vulnerable communities access housing, food security, and healthcare.
-
Homelessness services: Funding organisations that offer shelter, food, and long-term stability to those experiencing homelessness in Australia.
-
Domestic violence prevention: Supporting crisis intervention services, safe housing, and advocacy for survivors of domestic violence.
-
Mental health support: Funding initiatives that provide mental health services, crisis support, and programs to reduce stigma and improve mental wellbeing.
-
Open-source innovation: Contributing to community-driven technology projects that create public goods, from disaster response software to educational resources.
Through our Giving Back commitment, we aim to empower the world’s most vulnerable communities, support positive innovation, and drive lasting change.
2. Responsible Partnerships
At CapXcentric, we believe that businesses should create value without causing harm to people, society, or the planet. That’s why we’ve adopted a Do No Harm Policy to guide our work. We only provide services to companies whose activities align with responsible and ethical business practices.

We prioritise industries that advance society through DeepTech, advanced science, and engineering. This includes sectors like HealthTech, MedTech, biotechnology, and clean energy—industries where innovation improves lives and drives sustainable growth.

However, we avoid partnerships with industries that engage in harmful practices. This includes, but is not limited to:
-
Gambling and gaming designed to exploit addiction.
-
Predatory lending and financial services targeting vulnerable communities.
-
Weapons and military contracting businesses.
-
High-pollution industries without credible plans to reduce environmental harm.
-
Companies founded on or profiting from consumer addiction (e.g., nicotine or non-medical pharmaceuticals).
-
Fossil fuel extraction, including coal, oil, and gas, without a credible transition plan to renewable energy.
-
Companies contributing to deforestation or significant land degradation.
-
Businesses producing or using unethical surveillance technology that threatens human rights.
-
Fast fashion companies with unsustainable supply chains causing excessive waste, pollution, or labor exploitation.
-
Alcohol and tobacco companies with business models built around addiction.
-
Non-essential animal testing in consumer goods, excluding life-saving medical research.
We are committed to fostering ethical partnerships that align with values of integrity, fairness, and social responsibility. By working with us, you can be confident that our partnerships contribute to a more equitable and sustainable future.
3. Inclusive Engagement
CapXcentric is committed to building a more inclusive and ethical ecosystem. While we remain a small team, we prioritise working with and engaging underrepresented individuals and businesses wherever possible. We actively seek partnerships with neurodiverse professionals, Indigenous-led organisations, and other underrepresented groups to create opportunities for innovation and inclusion.

This commitment extends to all aspects of our business—from the founders we support to the suppliers and contractors we engage.
4. Sustainability Pledge
At CapXcentric, we are committed to minimising our environmental impact and offsetting the carbon footprint of our operations. Each year, we will estimate and offset 100% of our carbon emissions by supporting verified reforestation, clean energy, and carbon capture projects.

To us, being carbon-neutral means balancing our emissions by taking measurable steps to reduce and offset them. Our carbon-neutral goal includes direct emissions (Scope 1) and electricity-related emissions (Scope 2), while we continue working towards understanding and reducing indirect emissions (Scope 3).
We believe that every business, no matter its size, has a responsibility to contribute to a more sustainable future. In addition to offsetting, we prioritise environmentally responsible practices such as minimising travel where possible, optimising our digital infrastructure, and working with eco-friendly service providers.

Our goal is to operate as a carbon-neutral business while promoting innovation that helps reduce the environmental footprint of the broader startup ecosystem. We support only verified offset programs, such as reforestation initiatives certified by organisations like Greenfleet, ensuring transparency and accountability in our efforts.
5. Annual Impact Report for Transparency
We believe in transparency and accountability in all our initiatives. To demonstrate our commitment to giving back, sustainability, and ethical partnerships, CapXcentric will publish an Annual Impact Report summarising our progress across key areas.

Our report will include:
-
Profit donation breakdown: A summary of donations by focus area (e.g., environmental, social, open-source projects).
-
Carbon offset contributions: A report on our carbon footprint and the offset initiatives we’ve supported.
-
Responsible partnerships: Metrics on the percentage of our clients aligned with our Do No Harm Policy.
By publishing our Annual Impact Report, we aim to foster trust with our stakeholders and encourage others to adopt transparent and responsible business practices.
